From Zero to Hero
Since the early ’00s, I have been teaching Ableton Live to DJs and Electronic Artists/Producers, including developing the first Ableton Live course for Leeds College of Music in 2003. Over time I have written several modules for BSc and BA degree programmes exploring the unique features of Ableton Live for production, sound design, and live performance. My natural ability for teaching led to gaining a Post Graduate in Education. During my time as a lecturer, I have taught many students at all levels helping them to reach their creative and artistic goals.
As an Ableton Certified Trainer, I’ve delivered training and product demos to various artists such as Orbital, NJoi, Nick Bridges (Bodyrox), Mark Ronson, and many more.
My sessions are bespoke, focussing on the specific needs of the individual. The first free session is dedicated to understanding what you want to achieve and sketching your path to success. The sessions can be flexible to allow for creative exploration, questions, feedback, and guidance.

Production & Live Performance
I was the first Ableton Certified Trainer to demonstrate Push to the UK Music Technology Press; Sound on Sound, Music Tech Mag, Future Music, Future Publishing, Wired, FACT, DJ Mag.
At the launch of the first Ableton Push, I recorded a product demo video for Ableton at Sonicstate in Bath, "Ableton Push - A Track In 10 Minutes".
During the launch of Push 2, I've delivered masterclasses, seminars, and workshops throughout the UK.
I have written various short courses on Push 2 as both a production tool and as an instrument.
My Push sessions are delivered online using high-quality cameras, audio, and screen share and are structured in a way to allow you time to fully embrace what this excellent piece of kit can do.

My career started as a recording/mixing engineer and programmer in the 90s. During this time, I worked on many diverse genres. Although I’m comfortable mixing acoustic instruments as I am electronic ones, I tend to focus more on electronic or dance music-oriented projects.
I have been the resident in-house mix engineer for Glasgow-based techno/experimental label Bullet: Dodge since 2006 and, more recently, have been concentrating on my own material.
Mixing sessions either occur in person at my project studio in London (social distancing permitting), online via various collaboration tools or as a turnaround session where a brief is agreed at the start.
Mixing is a very personal process, with each client having their own unique creative direction; therefore, I limit the number of projects I take on in any given month.
